National Smile Month 2015

National Smile month is an annual event to raise awareness about dental issues in the general population. As dentists in Colchester, Hello Dental we are going to be doing our bit locally over the next four weeks.

More so then ever there is a need for increased awareness of dental disease, with tooth decay being the number one cause for children in the UK requiring hospitalisation and general anaesthetic for extractions. Not only does this cause a significant amount of distress to the children involved but the real tragedy of it is that most of this disease is preventable. A major population based impact can only be made by a sustained oral health promotion and prevention campaign, tied with affirmative action to tackle some food manufacturer’s unscrupulous practices that are putting profits before health.

Education and making some simple changes can mean most dental disease is preventable.

At Hello Dental Colchester we will be putting up a series of blog posts here with one simple aim… clear accessible information to help you prevent dental problems.

We will also be running some special offers for the month with an emphasis on prevention which we will be highlighting on our website here and our facebook page.

This is by far the BEST dentist I have EVER been to! Helen is amazing, knowing I’m not a big fan of the dentist she is so gentle and explains everything before she does it. I have been going to hello dental for a few years now and I must say you get what you pay for, the service is exemplary and all the staff are so polite and friendly. I never really liked going to the dentist because of previous experiences but I trust them 100% and would highly recommend them. Also the clinic is so clean which is something I always look for! So if you are looking for a dentist this is definitely the place to go.

If you're looking for a kind, calm and supportive dentist Hello Dentist are brilliant. After having a very poor experience with my last dentist I was very reticent at attending the dentist again but Hello Dental understood were non critical and have helped me to regain confidence in the dentist profession. I started using Hello Dental three years ago after a bad experience with a previous dentist.They have been outstanding.The reception staff, are always incredibly helpful and polite.
